Equipment Rental Agreement Sample

Parties Involved:

Lessor: ABC Equipment Rentals Address: 789 Industrial Road, Los Angeles, CA 90001

Lessee: XYZ Construction Co. Address: 456 Construction Lane, Los Angeles, CA 90002

Description of Equipment:

The equipment subject to this agreement includes a skid steer loader, model XYZ-123, serial number SLD456789, equipped with standard accessories as listed in Schedule A attached hereto.

Rental Period and Payment:

The rental period shall commence on __________________ and end on __________________. The Lessee agrees to pay a rental fee of $2,000 per week, payable in advance on the first day of each week via bank transfer or other mutually agreed method.

Security Deposit:

Lessee shall pay a security deposit of $4,000 upon signing this agreement. The deposit will be held to cover damages, loss, or unpaid amounts and will be refunded within the legally stipulated period after return of the equipment, less any deductions for damages or unpaid fees.

Obligations of the Parties:

The Lessor warrants that the equipment is in good working condition and fit for use. The Lessee shall operate the equipment responsibly, adhere to all safety guidelines, and return it in the same condition, normal wear excepted. The Lessee shall promptly notify the Lessor of any damage or malfunction.

Governing Law:

This agreement shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Los Angeles County courts.

Additional Provisions:

• Lessee shall not sublease or assign the equipment without prior written consent from the Lessor.
• The Lessor has the right to inspect the equipment during the rental period with reasonable notice.
• Any modifications to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
